TRUE TO THE TUNE OF TESTIMONIES.

The following discussion refers to Mr.Gurmukh Singh's article entitled - "Why India can't feed its people" IANS  ( Economy & Policy )  18/7/11

Its all very ironic..! A country with golden past, has come to such a state of affairs..!! It would be of great help if Mr. Gurmukh Singh - being an Economy & Policy researcher - might also give his valued suggestions of curing these evils at the ground root.

The term 'politics' in India today has derogated to such an extent that it has almost black-holed the sense of "Patriotism". Someone might say - it's of no use blaming the politicians alone, we must contribute our might in any way possible to help resolve the situation..? Very True; But how ? Is it really true that our election process and it's outcome represents the will of our simple, honest and common masses ? They don't know what is written in our constitution, in the law-books or in the principles of our economic policies..! They don't know how our government functions..! But they definitely see in their everyday life how the things are moving at the grass-root level..!! But for the " Supreme Court of India ", or a hundred 'Hassan Alis' , 'Rajas', 'Kalmadis', 'Rajus' and the likes would have roamed the corridors of power..!! No surprise - we would find the likes of Dr. Vinayak Sen jailed and the likes of Dr. Hargovind Singh Khurana & Dr. Amritya Sen missed by the country..!! Mr. Gurmukh Singh's narratives might appear painful but TRUE TO THE TUNE OF TESTIMONIES.
