Tony Tweets With Eyes

Meet a Paralyzed Man Who Tweets With His Eyes

Stroke victim who lost all motor control used Twitter for the first time :

This is Tony Nicklinson. For the past seven years he's lived in a state of complete paralysis after  suffering a stroke. Nicklinson is in the midst of a court battle for the right to end his own life -- he's called his post-accident existence "dull, miserable, demeaning, undignified and intolerable" -- but one fine morning, the Brit did something uniquely remarkable: he made his debut on Twitter using only his eyes.

Nicklinson's lost all motor function as a result of his stroke, although his powers of thinking and reasoning are undiminished. The only remaining parts of his body that can move are his eyes. It's symptomatic of a condition called locked-in syndrome, named for the way in which patients who suffer from it are effectively trapped inside their own bodies.

With the help of a computer that tracks his pupil activity, Nicklinson logged onto Twitter from his wheelchair and sent a single tweet. Within 24 hours, he had racked up nearly 2,500 followers. In the days since, Nicklinson's sent a handful of new messages, but follows only one other account -- @C4Dispatches, operated by the British television channel that produced a video of Nicklinson's tweeting.

Newton's Problem Solved

Indian boy solves 350-year-old Math problem set by Newton:

A 16-year-old Indian origin schoolboy in Germany has managed to crack puzzles that baffled the world of maths for more than 350 years, it was reported in London .

Shouryya Ray, from Dresden, has been hailed a genius after working out the problems set by Sir Isaac Newton.

Ray solved two fundamental particle dynamics theories which physicists have previously been able to calculate only by using powerful computers.
His solutions mean that scientists can now calculate the flight path of a thrown ball and then predict how it will hit and bounce off a wall.

Ray only came across the problems during a school trip to Dresden University where professors claimed they were uncrackable.

"I just asked myself, 'Why not?'," explained Ray.

"I didn't believe there couldn't be a solution," he added.
Ray began solving complicated equations as a six-year-old but says he's no genius.

After arriving from Kolkata only before four years without any knowledge of the German language, Shouryya is now fluent in the language.

His intelligence was quickly noted in class and he was pushed up two years in school- he is currently sitting his exams early.

LESSON OF LOVE

Cultivation of unconditional love and benevolence for all sentient beings constitutes an important spiritual practice which ultimately culminates in identification of oneself with all beings. By empathetic awareness of all beings - ability to share others’ emotions, thoughts or feelings, we realize their concerns, fears, anger, hopes and passions as our own, thereby changing our attitude and behavior towards them. The expanse of unconditional love transforms negative emotions into positive ones suffused with loving care, concern, benevolence and well-being for one and all.

Undiluted love for self, friends or a neutral person may well be easier to be practiced. But the real challenge comes when developing this with those we are in conflict with us.

Instead of probing and pondering over the good or bad qualities of those with whom we differ, we should be ready to ask ourselves – ‘ what if those all negative and odd characteristics were prevalent within ourselves ?’ Well, that’s only when we think rationally about it. But actually what happens when one devoutly adheres to a life of unconditional love towards friends or foe, good or bad and men or animals ? Life transforms into a realm of perennial pleasure which the individual is not physically aware of, but transmits all around him a sort of all pervading vibration of love and this undefined love permeates one and all whosoever come within it’s contact.

Angulimal, a rustic robber and a dangerous dacoit somehow came in contact of Buddha under His all pervading love and compassion; The dacoit was so transformed that he simply forgot what he had been doing and became totally tranquil and calm; Villagers then started pelting stones at him and his whole body was bleeding; yet his heart was full of repentance, forgiveness, and love.

When Purna, a disciple, wanted to spread Buddhism to some notorious villagers everybody discouraged him. The Buddha asked Purna, “If they don’t listen to you and insult you, what will you do?” Purna replied, “I will be thankful for their only insulting me and not hitting me.” The Buddha questioned, “If they hit you, then?” Purna replied, “I will still be thankful for their only hitting me and not killing me.” Lastly, the Buddha asked, “If they come to kill?”  Purna replied, “I will profusely thank them for liberating me from bondage of this body.” The Buddha said, “You are grounded in Eternal Love. Nobody on earth can harm you, go ahead.”

Culmination of eternal love transcends hatred, intolerance and all those negative aspects and makes this world harmonious with radiant love, benevolence, serenity and an inexplicable warmth of brotherhood.

ENTITY...!!

An earnest devotion & belief to the core of heart is enough of whatsoever path one takes. " Mantras " become 'Mighty' only when recited properly as per 'Vedic' guidance - better under the direction of the " Sadguru " .  Rituals followed with sincerity and sanctity are but a means to an end, not the " End " by itself.

Knowledge is ' no-knowledge '  ;
Devotion is ' de-void-of-motion ' .....

For an ignorant 'true-heart', even " His " name is just enough to clean the slate.

Call it 'Naxalism', 'Terrorism' or any 'ism' for that matter ! These are but odd by-products of human bio-productivity ; or - in a way - we may call it an evolution of " Prarabdha ".

Centuries of human knowledge has seen so-many dogmas, doctrines, scriptures, books and all that; But still there is more blood-shed in the name of so-called religion than any other causes put together ! Why it's so...!!

Cosmic creation is beyond the perception of so-called ' human knowledge ' .

To have a really beautiful world, we need to have ideally beautiful human being ; To have good human being, we should have good parents and to become good parents, we must learn, adopt and inculcate the eternal values of life.

In a 6th grade class of an American school, someone wrote on the black-board - " Prove that you were called into this world ? " Only a lone student had a spark of the question. Back home, he asked his parents ! Back to the school, he asked  his teachers ! He really could not get a heartfelt satisfactory answer ! Musing over the question for a few days, he finally jumped into the sea and committed his death...!!

How many of us were prayed & called into this world ? And how many are just biological by-products !

Is this life only a Biological Entity ? Let our younger generations find & feel.
